School is back in full swing and so are play dates, soccer runs and music lessons. We’re recently discovered Mom Made Foods and tested the USDA organic children’s meals out on a play date. Created by Virginia mom, Heather Stouffer (no relation to Stouffer’s frozen food), Mom Made Foods is a quick-prepare frozen food line of snacks and meals to sustain little tummies in between their busy schedules.
“I created Mom Made Foods because I believe in convenient meals that do not sacrifice quality or nutrition, and that kids should be able to eat delicious foods without added junk. Inspired by kids and the familiar recipes they love, we use only the freshest quality ingredients, such as organic products and meats raised without antibiotics, all sourced in the USA,” says Stouffer on her website.
So we had four kids and four boxes of Mom Made Food meals. My two non-cheese eating kids didn’t care too much for the munchies but their friends had no problems with the Cheese Pizza or Turkey Sausage hand held pastries.
Little Ms. S. who told me right off the bat that she wasn’t planning on eating any of the meatballs ended up eating ten after she had her “No Thank You Bite“. You can microwave these meatballs but I simmered it in an organic beef broth for just ten minutes.
You can get Mom Made Foods at Whole Foods Market and selected Super Targets in the frozen food aisles.
