  1. Hard to pick just one, but I loved your San Antonio post! We ate at La Gloria; it was hit with the whole fam!

  2. shared on my FB! :)

  3. Harry’s Hotdogs on Knox St., Dallas! Something for everyone in the family, including famous frozen custard.

  4. Our favorite kid foodie restaurant is Zoes. When we ask our daughter where she wants to eat she screams Zoes! She loves the grilled chicken strips and fruit.

  5. My granddaughter loves the Charco Broiler on Jefferson in Oak Cliff. She calls it ‘The Fat Cow’ due to the enormous plastic steer on the roof. Inexpensive and family friendly. She also loves the pink, strawberry cake for dessert.

  6. I’m working that day and don’t know if I could fit it in. But I’ll offer some kid restaurants! Penn’s favorite restaurant is Burger House. Not the healthiest option, but the Zoe’s Chicken Sandwich is good. I like taking kids to La Calle Dolce. Their cerviche and mahi mahi tacos are great and there is a wonderful man who will play the guitar and sing for you. (Ask for the donkey song.)

  7. Oh, what they heck, I’ll enter! Fave kid foodie restaurant: Corner bakery! the kids love the pasta and we love the chicken dinner entrees that they have added. We go in the evening when they are not busy, so no-one notices if the kids yell or scream. The kids especially love the big cookies that they get as part of the meal.

  8. has to be either Zoes Kitchen or Panera bread.

  9. I really love Wild about Harry’s for hot dogs and custard

  10. Dough Pizzeria Napoletana at Preston and Forest!

  11. My kids eat gluten-free so eating out is a little bit more limited for them. Nonetheless, we love these local child-friendly spots: Rafa’s (Tex-Mex very casual on Lovers Lane near the Tollway); Shinsei (great sushi for three of us and my son who doesn’t yet appreciate sushi loves their salmon, fried rice, edamame, chicken skewers. We always get a great meal there and they are nice to the kids too!; at Toulouse on Knox we love sitting on the patio with the kids for steak and frites. Souffles are delicieux!; Finally, at Company Cafe (on Routh near Katy Trail) offers a gluten-free menu, great outdoor seating at picnic tables and the kids can play with their chalkboard or run around on the Katy Trail while we eat and converse.

  12. Taco Diner- Preston Center!

  13. My boys (2 & 5) also love Zoe’s. Some other frequent requests are Penne Pomodoro, Fernandos & Twisted Root. We’ve also found Royal Thai (pad woon sen with chicken) to be a hit!
