The weather looks like it’s cooperating for this Saturday’s 3rd Annual Taste of Greenville Avenue (TOGA) event unlike last week’s mosh pit at the Texas Veggie State Fair. Bring the kids, wear a Halloween costume and nibble food from over 27 Greenville eateries like The Grape, new Korean fusion Rohst, Rusty Taco etc and listen to live music. The menu items are presented in small portions costing between $3 and $6. Wrist bands ($2) are required to purchase alcoholic beverages (beer and wine) in the TOGA Beverage Center.
In addition to supporting member restaurants, TOGA gives back to the community. A portion of funds earned during TOGA goes to the PTA groups at Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Dan D. Rogers Elementary Schools, the Woodrow Wilson HS Marching Band Washington DC trip fund, and Boy Scout Troop #5’s camping fund (in return for on-site volunteer services). Yay! Support the schools!
The TOGA festival will be held on October 29 from 10am-8pm in Energy Square, 4925 Greenville Avenue @ University Boulevard. More information about TOGA 2011 and a complete schedule of events visit the website or call 469-777-TOGA (8642).
