JJ&B – Jellies, Jams, Butters & Le Ster Crepes

Holiday Pack - Trio from JJ&B

We are having a love affair with the handmade jams & jellies from JJ&B. The Holiday Trio Pack (Chocolate Raspberry, Ginger Pear Preserves and Cabernet Savignon Jelly) delivered from Artizone is a treat  and we’ve been slathering them on everything from the Mother’s Day french toast brunch, sandwiches for school lunch to crêpes for dessert.  Our recent discovery, LeSter Crêpes has been a huge hit. The kids like to taste test with the trio of JJ&B jams but  no one can agree which one they like best. Unfortunately with only 12 crêpes in a pack, they’re all gone in two days.

Work fast before they get crisp

Made in France, the crêpes are pretty tasty for a ready made product and requires little assembly. They are a good ‘mommy helper’ especially for a quick weekday dessert. Just let them sit in room temperature for about 15 minutes before serving. Pikelet likes his thrown hotplate with a little bit of butter for about 10 seconds each side before I spread the Nutella and jam or jelly of his choice. I suggest rolling them up fast as the crêpes turn crisp and wafer-like within a minute. Lollo likes them zapped in the microwave for about 8 seconds which makes them soft and a little warm.

Crepes filled with Nutella & Strawberries and topped with Chocolate Raspberry jam

Le Ster Crêpes are available from Central Market (12 crêpes for $5.99) and JJB Holiday Trio pack retails for $31.50 at Artizone, a delivery company for artisanal products.
